Email from South Gloucestershire Concillor Matthew Riddle...
Dear All,
South Gloucestershire Council is currently working on plans to improve our
broadband service with the help of the Government. Today SGC have now put
out a survey for residents and businesses to complete on the council’s website
www.southglos.gov.uk / broadband.
This will help inform the plans and I would encourage as many residents complete
it.
SGC [will] be writing to the Parish Councils to advise them it is there and ask them
to publicise it as it is important we get as many people to respond as possible,
particularly in the areas that experience very slow speeds.
Parish Councils will be sent paper versions to distribute. All Ward and Parish
councillors will be invited to a session in December to feed in the feedback
from communities into the plan.
Kind Regards,
Matthew

The South Gloucestershire Council survey asks you what your internet / broadband speed is.
You can check your speed using a website like this one
www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk and pressing the "Start speed test" button. Please only run
this test from a fixed line connection.
Please be aware of advertisements on these websites that may prompt you to download software
and promote 'special offers'. Note that you do not need to download any software to
run the broadband speed test - you just need to click on the option to begin or start the test.
