The Harvest Festival service was held at S.Arilda's on the evening of Sunday 5th. Children brought up offerings representing sections of the local community; produce for the farmers, nets and putchers for the fishermen, bread for the bakers, bulbs and batteries for the power station, and a laptop computer for the local IT industries. The flower arrangers had been particularly busy and the church was beautifully decorated for the service. | ||
Saturday 18th October was working party day down at the Westmarsh Lane Pavilion. There was a great
turnout; Alan, Alex, Andrew, Colin, Emily, Gerald, Ian, Jim, Lucienne, Michael, Mike and Neil.
The kitchen and loo were painted, pipes boxed in and the main hall ceiling was repaired. Many thanks
to all those that helped, well done! |
