         BEETLE DRIVE

On Saturday 11th there was a Beetle Drive in aid of the Village Memorial Hall. In addition to the usual prizes
for the first beetle drawn and most points, there were others for; most number of  'I never got a six to
even start!', lowest score (hotly contested), and best drawn beetle. So there were plenty of smiling winners at
        the end!

         FUN RUN

On the evening of Tuesday 14th there was a Special Parish Meeting at the Memorial Hall, open to all, to discuss
the possibility of the village organising a continuation of the Oldbury Fun Run, perhaps combined with a "village
day or fayre". A committee was formed to organise next years Fun Run on Father's Day (17th June): Craig Brown,
Matt Clothier, Penny Pearce, Glynn Poole, Jackie Rudrum, Mark Sorrell, Ivor Stafford, Dave Stewart, and Keith
Sullivan. Here are some members of the newly formed committee after their inaugral meeting which followed the
        open meeting.

         FIREWORKS

On Friday 17th the Deckers Youth Club had their fundraising fireworks party down at the playing fields.
It was well supported and to help keep out the cold there was Mulled wine, burgers and hotdogs.
